R.L. Legras, Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru ‘Saint Vincent’, Choilly 1996

R&L Legras Saint-Vincent Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Millesime 1996
Racy, architectural nose.  Jasmine blossom-y with sencha-like intimations.  Multidimensional, complex fruit with Chablis Les Clos-like steeliness  and filigreed structure.   Generous now, but this will gain in dimension in the cellar.  Potentially great wine by age twenty.  One of my favorite wines from the night, bested only by the Dom Perignon ’90.
