Full color but now showing signs of early maturity. Ripe, relaxed, oaky nose. Very classically styled Bordeaux palate of smoky black fruit: blackcurrant, blackberry and blackcherry with a touch of toffee and cream. Well made. Very good balance as usual. A laid back wine. But a bit more forward than the best Lagunes, particularly from the ’80s. Ready (the French say ‘à point’). I would have these drunk up over the next five years. Good. Now – 2016.
