Mature color.  Rather pinched nose: faint aromas of iron, rust and violet.  Rustic and tertiary on the palate: undergrowth, cabbage, brie.   Lacking fruit.  Some tannin.  Bitter on the finish.  Astringent now.  Not much enjoyment to be found here.  Past its best.
