Full immature color. Dense, powerful nose: prune, blackcurrant leaf, stewed blackcherry, indian spice. Quite full and richly fruited on the palate: mostly cooked and prepared black fruit. Our guests warmed to it more than us; they were more excited but its kaleidoscope qualities (“its changed four times since you opened it!”). De gustibus non est disputandum. For us, its got lots of fruit and guts; we would have preferred a little more zip, a touch more freshness and a bit more grace. Interesting though and certainly worth exploring. Drink soon.
