Château Palmer, Margaux 2000

Chateau Palmer, Margaux 2000

Limpid ruby.  A profound nose: very pure cassis and blackberry; blond-tobacco, autumnal-leaf, with a top note of alpine flower. It is the harmony, breed and distinction of the fruit that stands out with this bottle: a yardstick example of Margaux velvet.  Classically structured. Refined tannins.  Fine grip. Complete, as complete as young wine can be.  Still many stories to tell.  Now – 2030; we are thinking ideally 2018 – 2025 if you are looking for the best time to open one bottle.
