Oxblood red with some evolution at the rim.  Fresh, harmonious, high-toned nose: Provençal herb, game meat, leather, black olive and clean gauze.  Peppery and elegantly textured on the palate, and the fruit runs to red plum. Very good acidity. Its upright tannin structure has rounded off with time in bottle.  Plenty of grip.  A cool and graceful Beaucastel, and drinking well.  Now.
