Pellucid garnet.  Soft, lambent Volnay nose: red berry fruit, citrus blossom, touch of herb, a stony minerality.  Does not follow through its initial promise, however.  Becomes more diffuse and it tails off on the palate. Of light body. Ends up a bit course as its rampant acidity begins to obtrude.  Some charm in its Volnay fragrance but lacks real class and dimension.  Drink soon.
