Full ruby red color, very little in the way of development.  Fat, firm, stylish nose: a gamey red fruit character, Asian spice, black tea, soy sauce, mineral and a nice depth of soil.  First impression is ‘big’.  This is creamy rich on the on the palate: lovely intensity here to the fresh Morello cherry and red currant.  Very good, ripe tannins.  A lot of grip and concentration.  Correct acidity.  It may not be the most elegant but its generous, velvety and very seductive.  A fine bottle of Suchots.  Now – 2020+.
