Godmé Père et Fils, Brut Grand Cru Millésimé Verzenay 1995

Godme Brut 1995

65% Chardonnay; 35% Pinot Noir.

Medium-straw.  Racy, upright, mostly primary nose, with touches of austerity still: herbal white and yellow fruit, citrus rind, cut grass, freshly laundered linen, sugar wafer, baking spice.  Teeming with more of these whistle-clean flavors and textures on the palate, medium-full: lime blossom, lemon pith, Fuji apple.  Refined, central bead.  Persistent mousse.  Classically rendered ’95.  Composed, harmonious and impeccably balanced.  Drinking beautifully right now.  Now – 2020+.
