Leroy (Maison), Bourgogne 1999

Leroy Bourgogne 1999

Mature, light garnet red; trending towards brick.  Touches of the rustic and funky on the nose.  This is confirmed on the palate as a wine reaching its end.  Fears of astringency now.  Some ripe fruit: orange, cranberry, rose, soy.  It was better five years ago.  Based on this bottle: time to drink up.  We have had variable bottles so your mileage will vary.
