Full cherry red color, faded rim. Scented and succulent on the nose: slightly floral red and black fruit, hibiscus, rosehips, roasted squab, turned earth and mineral. On the palate, this turns spicier and more brothy, medium-full: beef bouillon, black stone cherry leaf, beetroot, rainer cherry. Fine-tuned acidity and grip. Ripe, “I’m here if you look for me” tannins. Classy and transparent, as we have come to expect from Marquis d’Angerville. Now – 2020.
