Château de Puligny Montrachet has a .73 ha parcel of Poruzots vines planted in 1983.
Lemon yellow. Ripe, round, sunlit nose: slightly gingery green orchard fruit, narcissus and a stony minerality. Brioche-y, rich but not fat; this is more fluffy. Firm and concentrated through the mid-palate: bergamot, anjou pear, yellow peach. Large-scaled Poruzots without the ponderous feet you frequently find in this climat. An easy charm. Not your grandfather’s Poruzots. He would not recognize it: this is too well-mannered and polished. Fully mature. Not one to push too far past ten years on. Now – 2015.
