Domaine Louis Jadot, Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru 2010

Jadot Piuligny Combettes 2010

An immature, pale yellow color.  Ripe, intense nose: white and yellow orchard fruit, narcissus, gingerbread, distilled hazelnut and barrel tones.  More pheromony and granular on the palate, medium-full: Nashi pear, peach, bergamot and buttered corn, lightly touched in baking spice.  Extract-rich and texturally more akin to Meursault: soft pillows, velvet and cream.  Becomes more aristocratic as it goes; comes more into focus, the layers attaining a more chiseled detail, as we drank over the three+ hours it was opened.  Some depth.  Very good Combettes.  Will come around shortly; don’t push it past ten years, ideally between five and eight.  Now – 2020.
