Mid-80’s disgorgement. A burnished gold color with touches of amber. A bold, exotic nose: well-oiled orchard fruit, malt, singed almond and hot buttered toast. A honeyed praline on the palate, quite full and almost taffy-like in its palate saturation: bruised pear, nut oil, kinky caramel and burnt jelly. Demi-Sec indeed: this is flapper sweet. And nicely long. Quite an impressive, vivacious bead. Soft mousse. Not a serious wine by any measure – it’s just giggly good. And this style will keep very well. Drink soon.
