A mature golden color. Corpulent, masculine nose: slightly estery yellow orchard fruit, aniseed, blossom honey, grilled pistachio and wood-spice. Rich summery orchard fruit on the palate, of splendid ripeness and vivacious richness: pear butter, mutsu apple, peaches and cream. A firm, malic acidity. Hazelnut honey and minerals on the finish, quite stony and saline. Lovely depth here. Amazing length for a wine without superior grip. An individual Chassagne Morgeot. Now – 2019.
