Lemon yellow.  Glam nose with some reductive notes: rich citrus and orchard fruit, blackcurrant leaf, cherry blossom and crushed slate.  An ardent density on the palate, gregarious and extract rich: cox’s orange pippins, tangelo, rhubarb, white pepper.  Keen, bittersweet pink grapefruit acidity.  Wet stone and bath salt finish.  None of the heady turbulence that currently consumes so many of the ’10 rieslings; already a suave and manifest harmony to this Reinhold Haart.  Some may find this a touch static: we found this to be quite darling.  Now – 2020+.
