Salmon pink color, in diminuendo. Lissome nose of marzipan nut, fern, oleander, rosewater and mineral. Savory underbrush palate with puckishly tart rhubarb and huckleberry nuances. Finishes with a hint of quinine-like bitterness. Refined bead; supple mousse. Of modest body, weight and length. Somewhat static. Glimpses of Pol Roger’s grace and finesse on display here but we can’t help but conclude their vintage Rosé may be more an afterthought for this house when held up to the light of their vintage Bruts. Now – 2015.
