Domaine Latour-Giraud, Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru 2005

A luminous straw – green.  Backward, stone chassis nose: citrus and orchard fruit, lemon verbena, gardenia, powdered stone.  Wintery in expression and sleek in texture, medium-full:  peach stone, cox’s orange pippins, lemon ice.  A smouldering acidity, quite overt for an ’05.  Less of the stone and liquid florality and more herbal on day two, a chiffon of tarragon and mint.  Will still improve. Now – 2020+.
