Domaine Méo-Camuzet, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2007

Meo Vougeot 2007 #2

Meo Vougeot 2007

Ruby red color.  Supple, hale, fragrant nose: downy red fruit, peony, fresh epices. pebbly oolitic stone.  Some oak.  Open-knit, gossamer texture.  Lambent and sanguine on the palate, of medium body and weight: rasberry eau de vie, groseille, pomegranate.  An understated acidity.  Of somewhat modest grip and length.  Evanescent, lavender finish.  Has an executive balance and comportment.  Quite readable and flatteur for Méo Clos Vougeot at six years on.  Right now, we would say best between its eighth and fifteen birthday.  From 2015 to 2025.
