Pale gold. A scrupulous, viridescent nose: succulent fern, sweetgrass, green cardamom, pencil shavings, shiitake, spicy lees reduction. A gentle smokiness and a touch of wet farmyard straw. Compressed and wellwater fresh on the palate, the texture a dry, restrained satin: stayman apple, lime blossom, vanilla biscuit. The grip is good. Citrus and graphite finish. Some warmth but this is still mostly cool and grey. Precise and etched today and will improve. Now – 2030+.
