Canary yellow. A leesy richness. Somewhat narrow in dimension but the spectrum of yellow fruit character is luminous and gauzy: purest, essential yellow peach and peach stone. More gras and body with less cut that we are accustomed to from the Drouhin Folatières but don’t be tempted to write these off as ‘fruity’. This grips with authority. Well-judged acidity. A floral-salty wash of a finish: honeysuckle, wet marl and cream soda. Glossy yet vibrant Folatières. Now – 2018.
