Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot, Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru 2002

J.M. Boillot Puligny Pucelles 2002 #3

Canary yellow.  Chiseled, understated and poised; more hidden with a streak of austerity in comparison to Jean-Marc’s Combettes.  The hint of honeysuckle and the impression of still locked up peach and citrus but this wine is defined by its lattice of lacy minerality.  Seriously structured and long, with filigree detail and very fine grip.  Jean-Marc’s Combettes shows more flair and charm today; this expression of Pucelles has more class and breed.  Will still improve.  Now – 2020.
