Straw. Just a little sulphur showing. Dry and focused: jasmine, bread dough, cress, talc. While composed and incisive this expression has generosity as well: silken textures, a leesy fluffiness and vibrant, detailed white flesh fruit. A hint of walnut-y richness, firm acids, with a rather soft, foaming, youthful mousse. A smoky minerality. More warmth and personality now; a more gregarious BdB NV. Now – 2015.

Straw. Still a bit of sulphur. Bound and reductive: a vortex of mineral saturation, hawthorn and graphite. Primary yet intricate green-apple and citrus fruit. Chalky stone and salt finish. Sleek, nordic BdB. Now – 2016.
