Richly colored, streaked in magenta still, pale rim. A lusty Gevrey on the nose, capacious with a woodsy patina of tree bark and sassafras root. More of the same magnanimity on the palate, virile and lavish in its fondue of licorice, dark-skinned plum and black cherry. In harmony now: just a vestige of its once formidable tannin and the grip here is first-rate. Corporeal finish, grounded in an autumnal minerality. Like your older brother, this Tamisot. Now – 2015+.
