Twenty years on tasting.
Good color, crimson with a paling rim. Lithe, aromatic, plum-blossomy nose. Soft and round yet still vigorous. Slightly dense on the palate, exuding more of its Pommard proximity: plum pit, cherry stone. Decent grip at first but lightens up after an hour, indicative of a wine fading from view. Evanescent Fremiets, but not without Volnay fragrance and charm. Drink up.
