Girardin’s own ‘Vielles Vignes’ from the “Abbaye de Morgeot”.
Lemon yellow. Fetching, leesy and plump: bruised yellow apple with a tilt towards cider, ripe mirabelle, baking spice, patisserie flavors. A touch of sucrosité. But not too oafish: this has good grip, firm acidity and a nice length. A humble climat delivered with Vincent’s stylish if universal imprint. Comely, urbane Chassagne Morgeot blanc. For drinking soon.
