Domaine Louis Latour, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2004

Louis Latour Corton Charlemagne 2004

One of the largest parcels, 9.65 ha.  100% Aloxe vines and all domaine fruit.

Ten years on tasting.

Canary yellow with golden hints.  Plush buttery hazelnut, maple and toasted bakery notes.  A hint of stagnant tidal pool and maritime air.  Weighty richness and amplitude: mango lassi, sweet pear, pineapple.  Caramel and talc dust finish.  Decent grip but not for the long term.  Now – 2016.
