Limpid ruby. Ravishing for Mitans: resplendent griotte and raspberry liqueur in place of a more telltale groseille character. Fragrant cinnamon and peony. Suave yet judicious use of oak. Ripe, well-covered, late-arriving tannin. Lots of wine here with a tilt towards glacé. Over time (this was consumed over a week) the transparency shows: rosehips, blood orange and Mitans’ lacy minerality. Will come forward soon. From 2016.
