Well-colored crimson, faded rim.  Capacious, scented and extrovert: antique shop and spice, latakia tobacco, sandalwood.  The robustness of its youth now pounded out over the years into something more giving.  An almost suede-like quality to the black cherry and cassis fruit; quite ravishing for an ’88.  At once supple and nuanced at the end.  Now – 2018.  The ’99 Boudots from Tardy came off indifferent by comparison.
