Fifteen years on tasting.

Fullish ruby.  Deep, soil-driven and blue-inflected: peony, hoisin, myrtille and sloe strained though marl.  An old-viney concentration: resiny, enveloped, rich in dry-extract.  Still some fine-grained tannin, firm but seamless.  Not a bit hard.  Distinctive and rocky at the end.  Still to arrive at its majority: by comparison, the ’95 and ’98 Beaux Monts from J.J. Confuron have realized their potential, are more giving today.  Now – 2030.
