Bright garnet, watery rim. Not as imperial as we would expect from a Serafin; this is more lissome and pastoral, its pure cherry heart more red than the usual Serafin black. Firm and fine with a lurking perfume of forest floor, winter truffle, blood orange and sweet gamebird. Resonant, mineralic backend. We prefer this to the ’90; less concentrated, more articulation. Like the ’90 it will last for ages. A Cazetiers of finesse. Now – 2020.
