Lemon-yellow with golden hints. An outsized wine: citrus crème, baking spice and cut flowers. Then orchard and tropical fruit – ripe to the point of drenched. Semi-solid extract levels, quite concentrated – plenty of material. Rich mid-palate swell. A bit sweet – modest acidity levels give it the impression of residual sugar. Very ’05. Somewhat diffuse minerality at the end; more caramel and oak-spice. It tilts towards exotic and runs a bit fat. Yet there is substance here. Extrovert Genevrières. Drink soon.
