Fifteen years on tasting.
Limpid garnet. A smoky-sweetness from the stems. Plenty of fruit and guts, with a tilt towards avuncular. It’s sizeable and giving, a remoulade of smudged raspberry and kir. Peaty soil-tones. Some ripe tannin. Dusty, dime-store finish. Carnal Jarrons. Drinking well now; you can still keep this. Now – 2017+.
