Fifteen years on tasting.
Fullish ruby. As is often the case this is oh so young and unassailable. Reductive and oaky at first. Extracted: gras black fruit bordering on thick. But not impenetrable or contrived: it wouldn’t work it not for the organic purity and nervosité underneath. Hints of spice, marl and forest underbrush. Above all, a pristine cherry heart; it’s just not ready to relinquish center stage. Masculine, incisive, tannic, gripping, vibrative. It can be admired and respected if not truly loved .. yet. From 2019 (and think about keeping till 2024); the ramparts should have given way by then.
