100% Chardonnay from vines planted in 1964.  A massal selection from the lieu dit ‘Les Brousses’ vineyard in Pierry.  50 / 50 blend of the 2006 and 2007 vintages.  Raised in barrel, none of it new.  Unknown dosage and disgorgement.

Yellow-gold.  Polished on entry: lilacs, anise, yellow-fruit confiture.  Then vivacious and ripe with more of a quince-y patina.  Sappy, with a subtle honeyed savor.  Nothing strict about this Blanc de Blancs, with a chalky backdrop to keep it focused and mineralic.  A seductive Pierry.  Now – 2017+.
