Cépage is half Chardonnay, half Meunier, blending the 2006 and 2007 harvests.  From 40+ year old vines in Pierry.  Dosage: 2 g/l.  Unknown disgorgement.  Organic since 1999.

Yellow-gold; a couple ticks deeper in pitch than the ‘Cuvée de la Terre’.   Fullish with a tilt towards gras: quite an achievement for an Extra!  Estery, in a gently-oxidative style.  Sauvage with a swollen, pumpernickel savor.   Then granular and unadorned, it finishes in redolent earth and graceful, mineralic detail.  A Pierry of both flair and depth.   Now – 2017+.
