Lemon-yellow with golden hints. Scrupulous compared to the Vaudésir. A depth of oyster-shell minerality but it doesn’t come at the expense of the fruit. A textured layering of lychee and nectarine. Underneath this is diligent and grippy, so the oak shadings here do not dominate the wine. Ready with a little more upside potential than the Vaudésir. Now – 2018.
