Mature ruby with an amber sheen. Forrest red berries from deep green shade, resiny and succulent. Secondary notes of spent-darjeeling, shiro-shoyu and jus. No sous-bois yet. After the ’89s it’s nice to have a wine with definitive grip. Lensing acidity; the tannins are now resolved. The wine is mature without a hint of astringency. A finessed velvet now; a wine for game. For drinking soon; will keep beautifully.
