Lemon yellow and star bright. It opens spiced and grinning, a patisserie-like overlay of baking aromas, yeast and vanilla flowers. More declamatory underneath, its inferences both oceanic and geologic, iodine sea air and friable stone. Enveloping peach, tangerine and citrus confit; concentrated yet articulate. Shades of grilled nut. Definitive and dry at the end; it stains the palate with white iris perfume and a nuanced silex minerality. A quivering Clos de la Barre. Now – 2020.
