Fifteen years on tasting.
Radiant ruby core, watery rim. Starts with a hint of mocha-scented reduction. Then declamatory, lapidary and peaty: you sense its Pommard proximity. The fruit is densely-layered, carnal and piquant, such is the interplay of sharp focus and spherical fleshiness. Still tannic and grippy demeanor. Lots and lots of minerality: impovished brown topsoil over marl and limestone here, penetrating and long. Intensely Pitures and still not yet at its majority. Now – 2025+.
