Domaine Anne Gros, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc ‘Cuvée Marine’ 2009

Anne Gros Bourgone Blanc 2009

From a hectare of vines planted in ’96, ’97 and ’98 at the top of the slope in Concoeur, just north of the village of Vosne-Romanée.

Straw yellow.  Quite stylish, she’s striking and leesy on entry, with notions of pâtisserie, preserved lemon and fine chalk dust.  Then tropical and buxom through the middle.  Granular and rock-salted at the end, her skeins of acidity and minerality deliberate yet precise.  For drinking soon and can keep for a couple more years if needed.
