Extracted color, streaked with magenta still. Flush with ambition on entry, glossy and saturated with a sandalwood char. As the high-toast and oak-spice lifts, a Prémeaux of uncommon finesse unfurls. Marionberry with a touch of confit, then woodland berries and blood orange. Lots and lots of ’96 acidity but not a bit lean, so lush is the layering of fruit. Dramatic finish with lift and precision.
