Hospices de Beaune (Maison Louis Jadot), Corton-Charlemagne Cuvée François de Salins Grand Cru 2004

Jadot Hospices Corton Charlemagne 2004 #1

From a .48 ha parcel in lieu-dit Le Charlemagne; facing southwest.  58% of the vines from 1944, 27% from 1981, and the balance from 1998.

Yellow-gold.  Texturally she’s fluffy like summer clouds, peachy and lactic with a whiff of the tropics.  Toasted with a whiskey-barrel sweetness.  The finish is a salty vein of chalk and shrimp-shell reduction.  Giving her full measure; drink soon.
