Domaine des Héritiers (Maison Louis Jadot), Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2005

Louis Jadot Corton Charlemagne 2005 #1

Ten years on tasting.

The color of goodness, so much emerald at his core.  He prefers the old language, classicist in style with a tilt towards antediluvian.  Unalloyed chassis of stone, cold to the touch, yet his impeccable fruit hangs beautifully on the bones.  Lemon oil, acacia flower, iodine, sappy and layered.  Electro-magnetic finish, rising.  A backward Charlie, more Héritiers than Jadot, inching his way forward at a glacial pace.  Seemingly infinite reserves to draw upon, so many stories still to tell.  Now – 2025+.
