Josef Leitz, Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Riesling Spätlese Rheingau 2002

Leitz Rudesheimer Berg Schlossberg 2002 #1

This is AP#9.

Phosphorescent green-gold.  He’s clever for all his extract, ambrosial and lushly botrytised with no excess density.  Scintillating nectar and spice that speaks broadly of mace, orange blossom honey, pancetta, yellow corn, carob, white raisin, guava.  Dry-slate undercurrent to keep him focused and animate.  Miles to go for this Schloßberg.  Now – 2022+.
