9 h/a monopole in Prémeaux. From 45 year old vines. Freddy’s inaugural Maréchale after the lease expired with Faiveley.
Maturing ruby. A wine of proportionality, as pretty as Prémeaux can be, still a bit of depth to burn. Serene and ferny; piquant hedgerow fruit runs to elderberry and rose hip. Finishes well, more lyric than complex but, above all, articulate. A limpid Maréchale. Drinking beautifully now. Now – 2020.
