Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA.
Carmine. These are his oldest Gevrey vines, some now a century of age, and it shows. Thicker through the middle. Texturally, this is more velvet than silk. Flavors are of the forest, green-shady, fungal. Rising up and out through the end; peacock’s tail finish. Shows the class of this climat, situated just below Chambertin-Clos de Beze. Now – 2020+.
