Dark ruby center to a pale rust rim.  Ripe and rubenesque yet droit for an ’03, as if her breeding would not permit coloring outside the lines or a turn to the meridional.   Foxy texturally, she’s an uncanny mélange of firm structure and soft flavors; intimations run to dulce del leche, bullace, red pastille, sweet spices, incense.  Enough acidity and the resonant minerality of Les Cras to finish the wine in specificity and verve.  You can still keep this.  Now – 2020+.
