From 85 year old vines, a vivid magenta hue, huckleberry and its seed, purple plum and its pit.  Musky peony and autumn smoke.  The fruit is limpid and layered, covering the acid-mineral backbone.  Polished Morgan tannins and the granitic finish really threads the needle.  Both the wine and the vintage show matière and depth.  Now – 2020+.
