Gérard Boulay, Sancerre Monts Damnés ‘La Comtesse’ Chavignol 2006

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Comtesse 2006

Triage Wines, Seattle WA.

Ten years on.

The emerald glow from these damned hills and Barb always had a feeling the ’06 would make itself known. His sails ablaze now, noble and vigorous with a positive oxidation. Sorrel and salt, poire williams and machine oil.  The acidity is dramatic; the finish is electro-magnetic, pulling on his chain of chalk and flower. Ravishing all the way through. Now – 2020.
